Followers and practitioners also believe the emergence of this government of unity would put a total death to the infighting and fragmentation of the years, where two factions claim allegiance to either Ibinabo Fiberisima or Emeka Ike.
There are also those that takes the new romance of the former warring groups as a clever way of pulling off the rug from the feet of Emeka Ike as his erstwhile factional leader, Don Pedro now heads the present regime.
It was joy and smiles in the faces of members who throng the meeting venue in their hundreds. A cross section of them spoken to expressed overwhelming joy and satisfaction on the new face of things.
For actor and evangelist, Eric Taylor, ‘it is a reliving experience’.
Both Sonito and Lucky Imueko alias Megaluck pledge their allegiance to Don Pedro and his team. They were among those that spearheaded the reconciliation move.
In his address to the media, Don Pedro Aganbi said that the immediate task before the newly elected team is to try to partner and influence Government policies and Government thinking towards Actors Guild of Nigeria in Lagos. He also hinted that a formidable task force will be set-up to handle the issue of quack producers in Lagos state who are taking advantage of up and coming actors. He lined up a lot of programmes for the guild that he and his team planned to execute during their stay in office.
