At fellesverkstedet, we stepped up our casting capabilities bigtime through this procject, where we casted several items, including a fullsize mammoth bone in bronze.
The orignal bone where 3D scanned, then CNC milled in foam.
After that, silcone and plaster molds where made, so that in the end, we were left with a wax model incased in plaster. That mold where then burned out, so that we where left with a negative space, ready to acept the molten metal!
