Former Deputy Minister of Transport Joyce Bawa-Mogtari has asked Ghanaians who travel in and out of the country using the Kotoka International Airport to credit former president John Dramani Mahama with the massive transformation the airport has seen.
According to her, the transformation, which includes a modern baggage carousel, is a legacy of Mr Mahama, although he lost the 2016 elections.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by Mr Mahama, lost last year’s presidential and parliamentary elections to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The defeat of the NDC came as a surprise to several members of the party due owing to what they termed massive infrastructural development in all sectors across the country carried out by the Mahama administration.
To that end, Mrs Mogatri Bawa tweeted on Sunday January 15: “When you arrive at the Kotoka International Airport and see all the improvements, remember #MahamaLegacy.”
