It was a free flow of tears on the 16th of December 2016 as the management and staff of La Seal Group of Schools in Ogba, Lagos held a send forth party in honour of its Head of Administration, Kingsley Asemota.
Most of the staff could not hold back their tears while eulogies were poured out on Mr Kingsley who was the longest serving member of the workforce. He has served the institution for almost twenty years. He was the first staff of the community freely school.
In the words of the Proprietor, Grace Sanni-Akinloye, “Kingsley would forever be remembered in the history of La Seal Group of Schools. He personally helped construct the first set of chairs used by pupils when the school started. He came to meet an empty room with less than three students but is leaving when we have become the largest and most friendly school in the whole of Ogba, Berger, Agege and Ojodu. He is my younger brother, a friend and a confidant.”
However, it was a different reason when a few of the children who had hitherto been happy at the sendoff party threw the venue into another round of tears; they could not withstand the red-clad presence of Father Christmas.
Other staffers leaving the school are Mrs Adebisi Ogunlowo, Mrs Akintoun Precious and Mr Damilola Ajewola.
It was part of the end of year party of the school.
